Becky Knold Contemporary Art
"Being an artist means observing closely and responding creatively. My intention is not to record how something appears outwardly, but to express a response to what is not apparent."
...Becky Knold
Becky Knold follows her intuition, a passion for experimentation, and a love of color, form and texture, to create her artwork. Both subtle and sophisticated, her abstract paintings are influenced by the contemporary Pacific Northwest environment where she lives, as well as by her keen observation of a broad range of artists.
PAINTINGS
Through skillful layering of colors, textures and images, these visually expressive, abstract paintings pull the viewer in to explore imagined spaces, depths, and mysteries.

SCULPTURES
These gestural figures sculpted from natural materials (twigs, feathers, shells, etc.) capture the essence of spirits existing in a mystical realm.

CYLINDERS
Reference to the forests of the Pacific Northwest is clear yet subtle in this series of cylindrical forms. The viewer's focus is drawn in to the richness of colors, patterns, and textures in nature.
